As the earth softens and blooms again, something stirs within us too. We feel it in the wind that smells of new beginnings, in the way sunlight lingers a little longer, in the birdsong that returns like an old friend. Spring is not just a season—it’s an invitation.
An invitation to return to life.
And who better to guide us back into that wild, free rhythm than the animals?
The Great Unfolding
After a long winter—both in nature and perhaps within ourselves—it’s easy to forget how to stretch, unfurl, and move without carrying the weight of what was. Animals don’t carry the past like we do. They live in a state of raw, instinctual, and fully alive presence.
In my work as an animal communicator, I’ve seen how animals embody the energy of freedom. They don’t apologise for their joy. They don’t hesitate to rest. They don’t question their right to be. And every spring, they show us the same sacred truth:
We are meant to be wild, too.
The Call Back to Our Nature
“Rewilding the soul” doesn’t mean running barefoot through a forest (though it might). It means remembering the parts of us that already know how to be whole. The parts that laugh easily. That breathe deeply. That listen to the wind and find comfort in the silence.
Watch a fox leap through the tall grass, a bird rebuild her nest, or a dog roll belly-up into the sunshine. This is what freedom looks like: simple, embodied, and unafraid.
What Animals Teach Us About Living Freely:
- Let go of the past like shedding winter fur.
Animals don’t dwell. They shake things off—literally and energetically. What are you ready to shake off this spring? - Follow your instincts.
Whether you’re seeking rest, play, or solitude, trust your body’s natural rhythm. Let yourself be guided by what feels right, not just what makes sense. - Come back to the body.
So many of us live in our heads. Animals live in sensation, breath, and grounded awareness. Take a walk, breathe fresh air, and stretch like your cat. - Connect with your environment.
The Earth is always speaking. Listen with all your senses. The animals are part of that message. They’re here to remind you that you belong to the wild, too.
A Gentle Practice to Rewild Your Soul
Find a quiet spot outside or near a window. Breathe in the air, noticing the scents of spring. Then ask yourself:
“What part of me wants to bloom right now?”
“What would it feel like to live more freely?”
Close your eyes and invite the energy of an animal to guide you. Maybe it’s a Deer offering gentleness, a Fox offering play, or a Butterfly inviting transformation. Listen. They always have something to say.
Let This Be the Season You Remember
You are not separate from nature. You are not separate from joy. And you are certainly not separate from the magic that stirs in the soil every April.
This spring, let yourself bloom without holding back. Let the animals remind you of your inner wilderness—the one that is whole, wild, and deeply free.
